Review for GJPC

Peer review at GJPC is an academic activity worth doing and worth crediting.

Reviews are structured against the SQUIRE 2.0, audit or EQUATOR framework relevant to the manuscript, and written to teach the author as well as to advise the editor — that is the journal’s promise, and reviewers are its keepers.

  • Training included: a reviewer-development webinar and marking rubric; your first two reviews are calibrated alongside a senior reviewer.
  • Certificates & CPD: a formal certificate per completed review, suitable for portfolios, appraisal and CPD.
  • Recognition: public annual acknowledgement of the reviewer college.
  • A pathway: consistent, high-quality reviewers are invited to associate-editor roles.
  • The expectation: two or more reviews per year, 14-day turnaround, declared conflicts, and absolute confidentiality — manuscripts must never be shared or uploaded to external AI services.
