Why this journal exists
Every year, thousands of medical students, international medical graduates and early-career clinicians complete rigorous audits and quality-improvement projects that are never published.
Prestige QI journals price them out; fast mega-journals teach them nothing; institutional repositories give no DOI and no recognition. GJPC exists to close that gap: a credible, mentored, free route to citable publication — built on SQUIRE 2.0 discipline, not volume.
Governance & ownership
Ownership, declared
GJPC is published by MD Acumen Ltd (England, no. 16538952). The Editor-in-Chief, Prof Rajesh Varma, holds an ownership interest in the publisher. We state this everywhere because credibility begins with disclosure.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions rest solely with the editorial team. Any manuscript involving the Editor-in-Chief’s institutions, students or collaborators is handled end-to-end by a Deputy Editor-in-Chief. No fee, partner or sponsor can influence acceptance.
Measured integrity
We publish our acceptance rate, median decision times and editor-authored share annually, and cap editor/board-authored content below 25% of output. Ethics cases follow COPE flowcharts.
Academic partners
Partnership discussions are underway with New Vision University and East West University (Tbilisi, Georgia) — WHO-listed medical schools with large international cohorts — and with student research networks including GIMSOC. Partner crests appear here upon signature; partners hold no acceptance rights, which is precisely what makes their endorsement meaningful.
Transparency statement. The Global Journal of Primary Care, Preventive Health and Quality Improvement is owned and published by MD Acumen Ltd, a company registered in England (no. 16538952). The Editor-in-Chief holds an ownership interest in the publisher; this interest is declared on all policy pages, and all manuscripts involving the Editor-in-Chief’s institutions, students or collaborators are handled independently by a Deputy Editor-in-Chief. The journal operates in accordance with COPE guidance and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
